Associate call to an account or opportunity

Linking calls to accounts or opportunities ensures they are included in deal and account activity, which can be viewed on the Deals and Accounts pages. While MeetRecord typically associates calls automatically, you can manually correct or assign associations if needed—for example, when a contact uses multiple email addresses or an account has multiple opportunities.


Important Notes

  • Calls cannot be associated with leads or individual call participants.
  • Manual Association Limitations: Once you manually associate a call, it will no longer update with new information. For instance, if a CRM contact is linked to a participant after the call is manually associated, that contact will not be added to the call’s associations.

How to Manually Associate an Unassociated Call

Open the Call Page:

  • Click the Call Info in the left menu section and select Associate Call.

Select Account and Opportunity:

  • Choose the desired account and opportunity from the list. Hover over each to view their CRM details.

Add Multiple Associations (Optional):

  • Click +Add Association to link the call to additional accounts or opportunities.

Update the Association:

  • Click Update. Note that changes may take up to an hour to reflect in MeetRecord.

How to Change an Existing Association

Open the Call Page:

  • Click the Call Info in the left menu section and select Associate Call.

Remove an Existing Association:

  • In the dialog, click the Remove Icon next to the account or opportunity you want to disassociate.

Save Changes:

  • Click Update to finalize the changes.
