Call Length Limitations

Call Length Limitations

MeetRecord can process calls from 2 minutes to 2 hours in length. If you're planning a call that exceeds this duration, here are ways to handle it:

Before the Call: Split It into Two Meetings

  • Schedule two back-to-back meetings, each less than 2 hours long.

After the Call: Handling Long Recordings

If the call was recorded using another platform and exceeds 2 hours:

Download the Recording:

  • Save the media file to your computer.
  • For calls recorded with Zoom native recording, download the recording from Zoom's website.

Split the Recording into Parts:

  • Ensure each segment is less than 2 hours long.
  • Use editing tools to split the file:
    • MacOS: QuickTime Player.
    • Windows: Microsoft video editing solutions.
    • Third-party software: Tools like Audacity or Adobe Premiere can also be used.

Upload the Files to MeetRecord:

  • Once the recording is split into appropriate parts, upload each file to MeetRecord individually.

Troubleshooting Upload Issues

If you’re unable to upload the files:

  • Contact your tech admin for assistance.
  • There may be permission settings within your organization that need adjustment.
